There Will Be Brawl
A "drama" set in the Super Mario Brawl universe. Lots of hilarious Nintendo/Mario references.

Its not for kids, but funnee for adults (at least those who are familiar with the Super Mario Brawl game setting).

Little street in Pennsylvania gives Google Street View a show
Big funny. Seems these guys in Pennsylvania knew Google street view was coming in for a look and they decided to give them a show.

Start the show here and just follow the car down the road and watch the fun.

After watching it, check out this link of a creepy kid in the window...

UPDATE:
On May 3rd 2008, artists Robin Hewlett and Ben Kinsley invited the Google Inc. Street View team and residents of Pittsburgh’s Northside to collaborate on a series of tableaux along Sampsonia Way. Neighbors, and other participants from around the city, staged scenes ranging from a parade and a marathon, to a garage band practice, a seventeenth century sword fight, a heroic rescue and much more...

Street View technicians captured 360-degree photographs of the street with the scenes in action and integrated the images into the Street View mapping platform. This first-ever artistic intervention in Google Street View made its debut on the web in November of 2008.

An incredible cast of real-life characters contributed their time, energy and talents to creating pseudo-street life on Sampsonia Way. Please check out the scene breakdown, the participant page and the video documentation to learn more about the artists, groups and participants that made Street With A View possible.

Pride and Prejudice... and Zombies!
Now that you mention it, I can't imagine any classic of literature that would not be improved immensely by introducing hordes of the undead.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies features the original text of Jane Austen's beloved novel with all-new scenes of bone-crunching zombie action

This is sure to be an instant classic, reserve your copy today!

The Best Commercial for Electronic Appliances Ever
This has to be the best commercial ever. There is no question in my mind where I would go to get electronics (well, at least not if I was in Europe and spoke whatever language they are speaking in the commercial)...

"Hokey Pokey" a Religious Hate Song
Here's a curious item I picked up from the fine folks at the Dogma Free America Podcast; seems some Catholics in Scotland think singing the Hokey Pokey may constitute an act of religious hatred.
A spokesman for the leader of the church in Scotland said the song had disturbing origins.

Critics claim that Puritans composed the song in the 18th century in an attempt to mock the actions and language of priests leading the Latin mass.

I searched around and found a wikipedia article and a second reference, but it seems this interpretation of the history of the song is in dispute.

I think the idea that the Hokey Pokey originated as a mockery of the Catholic Church is a fascinating and funny idea. I enjoy mocking religion, and the thought that some groups hundreds of years ago were mocking each others rituals is just funnee.

Regardless of the origins of the song, clearly the modern singing of the song has nothing to do with what some 18th century shaker thought about the church.

This sounds like another case of the Streisand Effect. Now that they've brought up the idea that it pisses off Catholics then sure people will start to do it to piss off the Catholics whereas before it was just a silly song to sing to your football rivals.

More Great TV!
Here's another proof that American TV greatly lags behind the rest of the world.

In this Japanese show, the challenge is for an oiled up middle aged guy to slide across as many oiled up girls in bikinis as he can. Is that a great show idea or what??!!!
